About Me
My experience with Service Desk began around 2001 when my employer at the time purchased 5.5. Having a development background, I eventually implemented a fair number of customizations as well as integrations updating assets from Microsoft SMS, updating contacts from a feed combining Peoplesoft and Active Directory data, and several others. I also used SQL Reporting Services (SRS) to create reports. My experience is mainly with Service Desk 6 and r11.
My involvement with CA Service Desk includes being a customer, a consultant, a vendor, the Service Management customer representative on the CA World planning committee, regional user group president, PLC board member, and collaborating with Gityerfix to provide the Service Desk community at large with an open forum to discuss all things Service Desk. I joke that the only capacity that I have not been involved with Service Desk is as a CA employee.
Currently, I enjoy seeing the smiles on people's faces when I show them how to use Xtraction to report on their Service Desk data in minutes what it used to take me hours to do in SRS.
