The other type of macro to perform this function is the [[Site-Defined Condition Macro]]. And while Site-Defined Condition Macros are created by the client, Condition Macros are provided by CA in a fresh install of Service Desk. There are no default capabilities for editing existing or creating new Condition Macros. The way to add new Condition Macros is to do a direct load to the Spell_Macro table.

You may be wondering why there would be a need to create a new Condition Macro when you can easily create a Site-Defined Condition Macro. While the Site-Defined Condition Macros provide an easy to use interface and offer vast flexibility, they do not offer as much flexibility as Condition Macros, so the need for a more complex macro may be needed.

It is highly recommended that you do not modify ANY of the default Condition Macros. If changes are needed, then create all new Condition Macros. It is best to reference existing Condition Macros to understand the coding that is need.
