Available exclusively from SDU are Search Provider/Engine plug-ins for ''your'' Service Desk. These plug-ins add searching capabilities of ''your'' Service Desk installation to the search options found in [http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/default.mspx IE7] and [http://www.mozilla.com/firefox Firefox 2.x/3.x]. With these plug-ins any ticket or Configuration Item can be accessed directly from an internet browser.

Note: These plug-ins work best if Service Desk is configured for ''External Authentication''.


== Implementation Procedures ==
IE7 stores Search Providers in the system registry and Firefox saves them as .xml files. This difference is the reason separate downloads and instructions are needed.
